Why do people find it so difficult to accept snakes as pets has always perplexed me.
People love their snakes just like people love their cats and dogs and we do have a close bond with our snakes.
We Reptile lovers don't hate other people for their choice or insult people that prefer dogs and cats.
It's wrong to be judged by people because we are different and love snakes !!!
What's worse is the people that hate and fear snakes make them an easy target to take their indifference out on by torturing them and killing them in the wild and mutilating them and try to encourage other people to hate and fear them :(
Think about it !! How would you like it if you saw people treating the animals of your choice that you love the same way with no compassion or any respect ?
Please, if you don't know much about snakes don't kill them and instead walk away from them and leave them in peace because they only approach people out of curiosity, not out of bad intent !!
Make an effort to learn more about snakes before passing judgment based on a lack of education about them or based on the sensationalism that the media and press puts out there for shock value and ratings that makes people fear snakes !!
